The Beatles legend reportedly delivered a songwriting class
Sir Paul McCartney leaving LIPA in Liverpool.
Students at LIPA excitedly took to social media today - as Sir Paul McCartney visited the university.
The Beatles legend was reportedly on campus to help with a songwriting class.
One excited student posted a video of Sir Paul arriving at LIPA as she walked to class.
Scarlett said: “PAUL MCCARTNEY IS HERE AT LIPA AND I JUST HAD A HEART ATTACK BY MYSELF WALKING TO CLASS”

Camilla Sky clearly regretted not being at LIPA today as she posted: “So, Sir Paul McCartney is in LIPA today. And I am not. Why.”
Mikey Gormley wrote: “Uncle Paul (McCartney) is in LIPA today working with the songwriters! Hope I get that opportunity next year.”

Sir Paul McCartney helped to co-found LIPA in 1996 to forge a new approach to performing arts training.
He has previously visited LIPA for graduations and other lectures.
LIPA have been approached for comment.
