Desde el jueves, en el estadio Mario Kempes se trabaja a tiempo completo para el show de Paul McCartney , quien actuará mañana en Córdoba, por primera vez, ante unas 48 mil personas. El escenario de 40 toneladas ya está en su lugar, al igual que las pantallas de video y lásers; la logística para los fuegos artificiales también está lista.

Aunque llegó hoy a las 11 y fue directo al hotel Sheraton, la primera prueba de sonido será esta tarde, sin el músico británico. Mañana, después del mediodía, ante los afortunados que compraron tickets especiales, el ex Beatle probará sonido y se quedará en el estadio recibiendo visitas -algunas oficiales y otras, compromisos personales- hasta que a las 19 "en punto", como insisten los organizadores, comience el show.

El Kempes abrirá a las 16 para el ingreso de gente. Las teloneras serán Las Rositas, el dúo de tango electrónico integrado por las hermanas Cecilia y Gabriela Palma. Había una larga lista de postulados a anteceder a sir Paul, en especial bandas tributo a los Beatles. La decisión final fue de la producción del mismo McCartney.

José Palazzo, coproductor junto a la multinacional T4F, explicó a LA NACIÓN que el sonido lo dispuso el equipo de McCartney, distribuidos en todo el estadio para generar "presión sonora".

McCartney llega con la misma banda que lo acompaña hace 14 años, "Wix" Wickens en teclados; Brian Ray en bajo y guitarra; Rusty Anderson en guitarra y Abe Laboriel Jr en batería. Para Palazzo, se trata "de los mejores músicos de la actualidad".

Entre los camarines dispuestos para el artista y su gente -que no pueden tener objetos o decoraciones en cuero- hay uno armado como una oficina, para que pueda mantener reuniones. Viaja con su propio chef, pero la producción igual dispuso de un catering vegetariano. "Muy sobrio", definió Palazzo.

Unas 1.600 personas trabajan en el estadio en tareas de seguridad, montaje, catering y descarga de camiones. Sólo la producción costó unos 11 millones de pesos, a los que hay que agregar poco más de tres millones de dólares del cachet de sir Paul.

Como en esta gira, McCartney no fue a Chile, llegaron muchos espectadores de ese país y también de Brasil. Los principales hoteles de la ciudad están ocupados al 80 por ciento.

CHAU A LOS CHORIS

El pedido de sir Paul de que no se venda carne adentro del estadio, generó debate en las redes sociales y una catarata de chistes entre los cordobeses. Es difícil imaginar en esta ciudad un espectáculo sin los tradicionales choripanes. Esta vez, deberá ser así.

En el estadio habrá 19 puestos de comida y vendedores ambulantes que ofrecerán sándwiches de milanesa de soja, tortillas de papa y cebolla, croquetas de papa y queso, hamburguesas de acelga y papas fritas. Agua mineral, cerveza, fernet y gaseosa son las opciones para las bebidas. Alrededor del predio, se descuenta, estarán los carritos de choripán.

"No es obligatorio, sino un pedido, pero trataremos de complacerlo", insiste Palazzo, quien se reunió con representantes de Control Integral de la Vía Pública de la Municipalidad para que trasladaran la solicitud a los concesionarios.

Paul dejó de comer carne en 1975 y, desde entonces, encara campañas a favor de los animales. Hasta le escribió a Tenzin Gyatso, el decimocuarto Dalai Lama, preguntándole por qué no era vegetariano.

Cerca de las 11 de la mañana de este sábado 14, Paul McCartney llegó a Córdoba. Finalmente, después de cuatro años de amagues, de shows que finalmente no se concretaron, llegó el momento.

Nadie vio muy bien el avión en el que bajó a suelo cordobés, pero desde un rato antes en el Aeropuerto ya había cinco motos de seguridad que indicaban que algo estaba por pasar. Al rato, a la salida del hangar del gobierno provincial, el más grande de los grandes salió dentro de un Audi Q5 gris cuya patente tenía, curiosamente, la palabra LUZ.

En esa mini caravana de tres autos, no se sabía muy bien en cuál iba Paul McCartney, hasta que un insistente fan consiguió que el músico bajara la ventanilla y lo saludara. Le dio la mano, sonrió, y siguió adelante.

Después, el reportero gráfico Raimundo Viñuelas, de La Voz del Interior, acompañó en su auto la caravana (que llevaba al músico rumbo al centro) al grito de !Paul, Paul! El músico bajó otra vez el vidrio templado y polarizado y saludó para la cámara, detrás de sus lentes oscuros.

Un fanático feliz y una foto para la historia fueron escenas de una mañana perfecta, que se completará con un show seguramente inolvidable de domingo.

La mañana del sábado 14 de mayo quedará como un gran e inolvidable recuerdo en la mente de Ignacio Nores, el fan de Paul McCartney que tuvo el honor de estrechar su mano a la salida del aeropuerto de córdoba. “Desde los 12 años soy muy fanático. No puedo creer haberlo saludado”, dice emocionado Ignacio aún incrédulo por lo sucedido.

“Fui a una reunión laboral al aeropuerto y sabía que Paul aterrizaba a esa hora. Cuando salía vi que la guardia policial se preparaba y me di cuenta que estaba por salir. La verdad que no tenía ningún tipo de esperanza de verlo, pensé que iba a pasar detrás de los vidrios polarizados. Cuando llegó la caravana de autos levanté los brazos, frenó, bajó el vidrio y me saludó”, rememora Nores.

“La gente que me conoce sabe cuán fanático soy. Fue estar en el lugar indicado en el momento indicado. Es muy loco pensar que era el único fan que estaba esperando”, cuente sorprendido el tucumano que vive en Córdoba.

Esta no será la primera vez que Ignacio vea a Paul, pero seguramente será distinto a las otras ocasiones: “mañana voy al show con mi mujer y mi hija. Lo vi en Buenos Aires las otras dos veces que estuvo. La primera vez fui en colectivo. Ir ahora con mi familia es también cumplir un sueño”, cierra.
