He's about to take his gruelling Out There tour to Japan and South Korea, so it comes as no surprise that Paul McCartney was keen to see his eldest daughter before he jetted off.
The Beatles crooner was spotted meeting the designer at a Japanese restaurant in London on Wednesday, prior to his first gig in Tokyo this weekend.
The 71-year-old looked upbeat as he walked along the street minus Stella, 42, who appeared to be waiting for him outside the eatery.

The Come Together singer looked fairly smart for the low-key lunch in jeans, suede shoes and a navy quilted jacket.
He also seemed to be wearing a denim shirt underneath, while Stella appeared to be make-up free in a long dark coat.
The mother-of-four's legs looked slim in her ankle-grazing skinnies, which were teamed with a thick jumper and patent brogues.

Paul's latest leg of the tour will see him perform in both Osaka and Seoul, as well as Tokyo, before returning home for just a few weeks.
He will then head to US where he'll perform 19 gruelling shows, before completing the mammoth tour in San Francisco.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the musical legend has announced an extra show on May 21 at the Nippon Budokan Hall, the venue where the Beatles first performed in Japan in 1966.

'It’s very exciting to be returning to the Budokan because it is a very special place and was the first place we played in Japan', Paul told the website.
Meanwhile Stella will be likely to want a quiet few weeks after attending New York's Met Gala last week, where a number of stars including Cara Delevingne and Rihanna wore her designs.
She also attended the Maleficent premiere in the capital on Sunday, where she oozed glamour in a black dress and matching jacket.
