Three years ago today Paul performed a short surprise gig on the top of the Ed Sullivan Theater’s marquee in New York City. The performance was filmed specially for Paul’s appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman that evening.

The surprise gig featured tracks from Paul’s entire career including ‘Band On The Run’ and ‘Helter Skelter’. Also in the set was ‘Sing The Changes’ from the recently released ‘Electric Arguments’ album by The Fireman, Paul’s side-project with producer Youth.

Fans may be interested to note that Letterman films at the same studios where The Beatles first appeared on US TVs back in 1964 on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Paul was in town to play three shows at the Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets baseball team, which were later released on the DVD ‘Good Evening New York City’.
