Two chances to meet-and-greet a Beatle up for bids on charity site

The chance to meet-and-greet Ringo Starr or Paul McCartney is currently being auctioned.

The bidding for a chance to get two VIP tickets to an upcoming Paul McCartney “One On One” tour show and meet him through a Charitybuzz auction, one of two current charity opportunities to meet a member of the Beatles, is up to over $9,000 with three days left to go in the auction. The bidding will end at 3 p.m. EDT April 13.
The prize, with an estimated value of $25,000, will give the winner and a guest two premium tickets to the concert and the opportunity to meet him at a soundcheck before the show. Rules of the Paul McCartney auction say the winner and a guest will meet McCartney in a group setting. A photographer will take a picture of the event. The prize does not include travel and accommodations to the show or an autograph. The current high bid at press time was $9,250. The auction will benefit The Conservancy for the Parthenon and Centennial Park.
An auction for a meeting with Ringo Starr is also being offered by Charitybuzz. The winner and a guest get two tickets to the July 2 Greek Theatre show and a meeting with Ringo. Current high bid is $2,350. The bidding ends at 3:54 p.m. EDT on April 26. The winner may take a photo with Ringo, but travel, accomodations and autographs are not included. Proceeds are for the The John Varvatos 13th Annual Stuart House Benefit.
Also up for bid on Charitybuzz with two days to go is a private tour of Capitol Records studios in Los Angeles, which has been used by Paul McCartney and others. The current bid is $950. Bidding ends at 4 p.m. EDT April 12.
