There will not one but two Beatles at the 54th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles Feb. 12. Ringo Starr has just been announced as one of the newest presenters.
Fellow Beatle Paul McCartney has already been scheduled to perform at the event. McCartney, the 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year and a 14-time Grammy winner, is nominated this year for a Grammy for Best Historical Album for "Band On The Run (Paul McCartney Archive Collection — Deluxe Edition)". Will Ringo be introducing McCartney?
Another newly announced performer for the Grammy Awards telecast is Bruce Springsteen. Other previously announced performers are Adele, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson; Glen Campbell with the Band Perry and Blake Shelton; Coldplay and Rihanna; the Foo Fighters; Bruno Mars; Nicki Minaj; Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
Ringo was a presenter two years ago at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2010, awarding the Record of the Year statue to Kings of Leon.
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards takes place this year on Feb. 12 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The show will be broadcast in high definition and 5.1 surround sound on CBS from 8–11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). The show also will air on radio via Westwood One/Dial Global, and covered online at GRAMMY.com and CBS.com, and on YouTube.
