Sean Lennon performed in front of a packed house in his dad’s home city.

The 38-year-old musician and son of John Lennon played at the Kazimier, on Wolstenholme Square, in Liverpool city centre, with his band The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger.

The band was formed by Sean and partner Charlotte Kemp Muhl.

The couple have said they started the band as a way to spend more time together. The only child of Lennon and Yoko Ono, Sean has released three solo albums and several collaborations.

He has worked with his mum and the Plastic Ono Band, and has supported anti-fracking and anti-capitalism causes in the US.

Last night’s gig in Liverpool was part of a short tour of the UK. The band were set to play at the Dingwalls venue in Camden, London, tonight (sep 9).
