Beatles Tribute at Union Station's Grand Hall.
A Beatles tribute enters the video rotation this weekend at Union Station’s Grand Hall. John Miceli, president and chief creative officer of the Orlando, Fla.-based Technomedia Solutions, talks about the new show, created exclusively for projection onto the hall’s 65-foot vaulted ceiling.
How do you describe the display? I think it’s primarily a tribute to the music and contributions the Beatles have made in all of our lives. ... We wanted to tell a little bit of their story, piece together the music in a way that takes you on a ride and end it really happy and positive.
What are some of the songs featured? “Magical Mystery Tour,” “Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!,” “All You Need Is Love,” “Penny Lane,” “Paperback Writer.” Just a mix of some of their great stuff.
Was it difficult selecting which songs would be used? There’s so much stuff. It was hard. There’s not a single song they have that wouldn’t work, that isn’t something to celebrate.
How long will the tribute run? It will be there for quite a while. I’m not sure when they’ll stop showing it.
Are you doing any other animated displays at Grand Hall? We have a space experience coming out for New Year’s. That will be another great one in Grand Hall.
