New Year's Eve bash, concert features Beatles vibe

The national touring concert “Classical Mystery Tour” will help Billings ring in 2015 at the Alberta Bair Theater on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m.
As a kickoff to the New Year’s Eve concert, the Billings Symphony Orchestra & Chorale will also host a New Year’s Eve Bash from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Prescott Hall at Rocky Mountain College. The bash will feature gourmet food and a cash bar.
“Classical Mystery Tour” is one of the nation’s most notable Beatles tribute shows. Since its initial performance in 1996, “Classical Mystery Tour” has been selling out venues in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
The Beatles tribute show “Classical Mystery Tour” features favorite tunes spanning the legendary band’s career.
The full show presents more than two dozen Beatles tunes including “Penny Lane,” “Yesterday,” “I Am the Walrus,” “Hey Jude,” and more.
“Classical Mystery Tour” features: Tyson Kelly (portraying John Lennon) on rhythm guitar, piano, and vocals; Benjamin Chadwick (as Paul McCartney) on bass guitar, piano and vocals; Jimmy Pou (as George Harrison) on lead guitar and vocals; and Chris Camilleri (as Ringo Starr) on drums and vocals.
From the recent 50-year anniversary of “Beatlemania” to the release of the remastered Beatles albums, the demand for Beatles material is greater than ever.
The Los Angeles Times called the show “more than just an incredible simulation ... the crowd stood and bellowed for more.”
Tickets to the New Year’s Eve pre-concert bash are $50 each and include a donation to the Billings Symphony Orchestra & Chorale. New Year’s Eve bash patrons may also purchase VIP tickets for $75 each and get access to meet the performers during a post-concert reception.

Ticket prices for “Classical Mystery Tour” range from $26 to $51. Tickets for children 12 and younger are $26 and $51 and must be purchased at the ABT box office with a valid student ID presented.
