LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Paul McCartney arrived in Lubbock at 6:15 p.m. and our very own Alex Zielinski was there to grab the first interview.

McCartney described his visit to Lubbock as a "lifelong dream" to visit the "birthplace of my hero."

McCartney said Buddy Holly meant "A lot," and that he was "a big, big influence on the beginning of The Beatles."

But Sir Paul had to cut the interview short, saying he was late after being held up in the air.
