THE GALLAGHER brothers grew up idolising THE BEATLES.

And now LIAM’s lad GENE is following in their footsteps after meeting Sir PAUL McCARTNEY.

BEADY EYE frontman Liam kept his son up late on a school night to watch a screening of the remastered Magical Mystery Tour film in London on Tuesday.

They joined Macca, Liam’s Beady Eye band-mates and DAVID WALLIAMS at the BFI Southbank.

The film, made by and starring The Beatles, had a poor reception when it debuted on TV in 1967 but you can see its influence in modern videos.

The music, including I Am The Walrus and Blue Jay Way, is not bad either.
