To commemorate what would have been John Lennon’s 75th birthday, Hard Days Night Hotel is putting on a special afternoon tea.
The North John Street hotel has collaborated with the Beatle Industry Group in a bid to create a sweet and savoury treat that will be available from John Lennon’s birthday, October 9, through to October 16.
In addition to serving the hotel’s signature light bites and hot beverages, the package also features Chocolate Cake, which is John’s favourite sweet treat, as well as his cocktail of choice, Brandy Alexander.
General Manager of Hard Days Night Hotel Mike Dewey says: “Ahead of what would have been a milestone birthday for John, the team and I knew that we had to create something special to mark the occasion and get involved in the city’s JL75 celebrations.
“Our one of a kind Afternoon Tea features some of John’s favourite treats and tipple so it’s wonderful that our guests will be able to enjoy them within the opulent surroundings of our Lounge and Bar.”

Mike adds: “By developing quirky limited-edition culinary offerings, it adds to the originality and exclusivity of our ever-expanding menus.
“It is important to remain true to our Beatles legacy and therefore celebrate special Fab Four dates, and it is an honour to play a part in Liverpool’s celebrations to remember the iconic that was.”
As part of the JL75 celebrations, various Beatles initiatives from across the city will be getting involved to rejoice and remember the life of one of Liverpool’s most famous sons.
The Commemorative Afternoon Tea is available from Friday, October 9 until Friday, October 16 and is priced at £30.00 for two people. Advanced reservations are required.
