During last month’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, honoree Ringo Starr jammed with his Beatles band mate Paul McCartney, fellow inductees Green Day and other stars.  Starr has posted a video featuring some cool backstage and rehearsal highlights from the event on his official Facebook page and YouTube channel.

The footage includes Ringo running through his hit “It Don’t Come Easy,” working out the arrangement of The Beatles’ “I Wanna Be Your Man” with McCartney, Joe Walsh and Paul Shaffer and also performing the Fab Four’s “With a Little Help from My Friends” with Sir Paul.

In addition, the video shows Starr chatting with Green Day’s members and rehearsing for their performance of The Shirelles‘ “Boys,” which The Beatles covered on their 1963 debut album, Please Please Me.

In the clip, Ringo reveals that it was his idea to team with Green Day at the ceremony.

“When do we go on tour?” he jokes.  “Green Ringo Day!”

Green Day drummer Tre Cool then suggests, “We could be Gringo Day,” which gets a rousing response from Starr and Billie Joe Armstrong.

The video also shows Ringo hanging out with various other music luminaries, including fellow inductees Joan Jett and Bill Withers, as well as Stevie Wonder, Beck and John Legend.

A special featuring highlights from the 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony premieres May 30 on HBO.
