Paul McCartney VIP Concert Package Being Auctioned to Benefit MusiCares

A new Grammy-related auction is offering a once-in-a-lifetime VIP experience with the world’s most famous rock star, Paul McCartney.  Up for bid is the chance for two people to attend one of the former Beatles legend’s upcoming concerts in Europe, as well as to meet Sir Paul backstage and watch his soundcheck before the show.  Proceeds will benefit the MusiCares Foundation.

The winning bidder and a guest will get to check out the concert of their choice from premium seats.  Among the shows available are McCartney’s May gigs in London, Birmingham and Liverpool, U.K.; his June concerts in Amsterdam, Netherlands; Paris and Marseille, France; and his July performances in Oslo, Norway, and Stockholm, Sweden.  Travel and lodging expenses are not included.

The experience is valued at $75,000.  As of Wednesday night, bidding was at $11,500.

You can bid on the McCartney package at CharityBuzz.com until May 7.  The MusiCares Foundation provides programs and services to musicians and music industry people in need.

Paul McCartney is the former front man of the most successful rock band of all time, The Beatles, and his solo career has been going strong since April of 1970. The first 12 years of his solo career produced nine number one singles and seven number one albums. With The Beatles, Paul and guitarist, John Lennon, penned more than 200 songs and created some of the music industry's most famous rock ballads like 'Hey Jude,' 'Let It Be,' and 'Hide Your Love Away.'

Valid for 2 people.
Date and concert must be mutually agreed upon in 2015.
Winner must communicate selected date to Charities with a minimum of two weeks notice prior to selected concert date. Charities will coordinate scheduling and fulfillment with artist management and winner. Every effort will be made to accommodate winner’s choice. 
The winner and their guest will be subject to a background check which must be successfully passed in order for the fulfillment of the experience to be executed.
Winner must be approved by charity and artist management before final payment will be accepted and the experience fulfilled.
Charity and artist management reserve the right to refuse fulfillment at their own discretion.
Tickets cannot be resold, transferred or re-auctioned. Tickets sold, otherwise transferred or used in violation of this policy shall be deemed revoked and void, and their bearers deemed trespassers at all Recording Academy events.
The winner is solely responsible for accommodations, meals and transportation to and from the event/venue unless otherwise stated in the description.
GRAMMY® Charities and artist management will not be responsible for winner's inability to arrive as directed to the determined location for fulfillment of this package.
Inappropriate behavior during the fulfillment of the experience may result in the ending of the experience upon disruptive behavior and winning bidder being blocked from future GRAMMY Charity Online Auctions.
