Paul McCartney’s "NEW" Album Arrives in Stores Today; Macca Chatting Online This Morning

Today is a brand NEW day!  Paul McCartney‘s latest album, NEW, arrives in stores on Tuesday, and the ex-Beatles star will be taking to the Internet this morning to chat about the collection of tunes.

The online event will be viewable at Danish audio-equipment manufacturer Bang & Olufsen’s official website and YouTube channel starting at 2 p.m. U.K. time which is 9 a.m. ET.  Sir Paul plans on discussing different aspects of his process of writing and recording NEW, including collaborating for the first time with the album’s four producers — Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns, Paul Epworth and Giles Martin.  In addition, he’ll be answering questions submitted by fans via the Twitter hashtag #askmccartney.

In a recent press statement promoting NEW, the 71-year-old rock legend explains what motivates him to continue to want create fresh music.

“It all comes down to the fact that I love it, I love the whole process,” he declares.  “When I was a kid, I started getting into music and I got a guitar.  Then when I got into a group I was fascinated by the whole thing, this idea of trying to make music and later trying to write songs.  It’s become an eternal fascination for me.”

NEW is available as a standard 12-track CD, as well as a deluxe 14-track CD and digital download.
