60 years after the two legendary performances of The Beatles in Blokker, in the auction hall 'Op Hoop Van Zegen' on June 6, 1964, unique film footage has surfaced of the legendary Beatles concerts in the auction hall of Blokker. This 8mm film was found in the estate of the Blokker amateur filmmaker Cor Molenaar, thanks to the efforts of the Stichting Historisch Blokker.

This film contains fragments of the entire Blokker festival of 1964. Cor Molenaar also filmed the performance of Cliff Richard and the Shadows, among other things.

The most special footage is that of The Beatles concerts. Molenaar had a keen eye for his surroundings, so he not only captured the stage, but also the enthusiastic audience, as well as some artists from the supporting program.

The film also gives a beautiful representation of how the auction hall was set up for the festival by Blokker volunteers. Everything was made from auction boxes; the stage, the bar and an endless row of benches. These images were first shown to the public on June 6, 2024 during the 60th anniversary in the auction room of the auction 'Op Hoop Van Zegen'.

Unfortunately, the film does not contain sound.
