Esta madrugada llegó a la Argentina Paul McCartney, el eterno Beatle, ícono de la canción mundial, un mito viviente y estelar cantante de culto que tocará este sábado en el Campo Argentino de Polo de Buenos Aires. Su visita es un acontecimiento musical en sí misma. Venerado y respetado, su sola presencia marca un nuevo hito en la historia de los grandes recitales en nuestro país. Pero su arribo tuvo un "petit escándalo" que mantuvo en vilo a los organizadores y al personal del hotel donde se hospeda en su estadía porteña.
Según pudo saber Teleshow, una de las condiciones más importantes que puso su también mítico y legendario representante, Barry Marshall, incluía que en la suite más importante del hotel de Recoleta donde se hospeda Sir Paul hubiese un piano acústico. Este requerimiento también se incluyó en la anterior visita del músico a la ciudad en 2013. Pero ahora todo se complicó y hasta las últimas horas de la noche de ayer, el piano no estaba en la habitación de McCartney y allí comenzó una discusión por la responsabilidad final de la cuestión, entre la productora y el hotel.
Cierto es que para esta madrugada, alrededor de las 4 AM, se esperaba la llegada del gran Paul a esta ciudad, y el piano no aparecía. El hotel posee uno de cola en sus instalaciones. Los productores pensaron que podían trasladar el instrumento a la suite del músico, pero su representante se negó rotundamente y allí se produjo el escándalo.
El conflicto radica en que el piano debía estar en la habitación del artista antes de su llegada, por pedido expreso de Barry Marshall. El productor amenazó con una severa multa a la empresa que trae al ídolo a Buenos Aires, ya que se incumplía una de las cláusulas más importantes del contrato, comenzando entonces una desinteligencia entre el hotel y la productora. Marshall se enteró personalmente del problema y exigió que fuera solucionado con inmediatez.
Como el conflicto fue subiendo de tono, comenzaron a buscarse opciones. Al ver que el representante no aceptaba el piano de cola del hotel, llegaron a pedirle un piano a Alejandro Lerner, quien les ofreció uno eléctrico, de última generación, pero también fue rechazado. "Un piano acústico o nada", dijo Marshall.
Finalmente pudieron alquilar un piano en una sala de ensayo de Palermo. El instrumento fue ingresado al hotel minutos antes de la llegada del cantante, en el montacargas, con algunas dificultades, porque los operarios que realizaron el traslado no eran especialistas en este tipo de maniobras. Sin embargo ahora aguardan que el mánager permita que ingresen el instrumento a la suite presidencial donde ya está hospedado el ex Beatle.
"Hola a todos en Argentina. Vamos a vernos en Buenos Aires. Esperamos que nos vengan a ver porque vamos a rockear, a pasarla bien, vamos a pasarla muy bien. Nos vemos allá Buenos Aires", dice el artista de 76 años en un video que se vio recientemente.
McCartney llevará adelante la gira Freshen Up Tourcon shows en Latinoamérica. Se trata de un tour —en línea con el lanzamiento de su último disco Egypt Station—que comenzó en septiembre en Canadá, siguió en los Estados Unidos e incluyó una visita a Japón.
Este sábado Sir Paul se presentará en el Campo Argentino de Polo para seguir su gira, tras pasar por Chile y otros países de Latinoamérica.

 As the conflict was rising in tone, they began to look for options. Seeing that the representative did not accept the grand piano of the hotel, they even asked Alejandro Lerner for a piano, who offered them an electric one, of last generation, but he was also rejected. "An acoustic piano or nothing," said Marshall.
Finally they were able to rent a piano in a rehearsal room in Palermo. The instrument was admitted to the hotel minutes before the arrival of the singer, in the forklift, with some difficulties, because the operators who made the transfer were not specialists in this type of maneuvers. However now they wait for the manager to allow the instrument to enter the presidential suite where the former Beatle is already staying.

 A un día de actuar en el Campo Argentino de Polo, el ex beatle Paul McCartneyaprovechó el día para pasear en bicicleta. En las redes sociales rápidamente se viralizaron las imágenes de Sir. Paul haciendo una breve expedición por la Costanera. "No todos los días te encontrás con Paul McCartney. Bueno hoy nos pasó", escribió uno de los sorprendidos porteños que se cruzaron con el autor de "Hey Jude", apaciblemente manejando su bici.



"Acabo de conocer a Paul McCartney. Lo vi andar en bici y después hablé con él. Le mostré mi tatuaje. Hizo los pulgares arriba. Mi vida está completa. Mi vida cobró sentido y hoy soy una mujer feliz", dijo otra usuaria de Twitter, quien fue una de las primeras en subir las imágenes del video de Paul McCartney, con el hastag #EraPaul.




Después de su actuación en Santiago de Chile, el músico arribó a la Argentina para ofrecer su concierto de mañana en el Campo de Polo, con entradas agotadas.
