During Queen's reign, Beatles ruled at top of pops in singles sales, says BBC

- In a look back at pop music under the reign of Queen Elizabeth, a BBC Radio 2 program to air Monday will crown the Beatles the kings of singles sales on the pop charts.The BBC reports the Beatles are listed at the top of the 10 biggest singles selling acts during the Queen's 60 year time on the British throne.Elvis Presley placed in the runner-up spot in second, while Cliff Richard placed third and Madonna placed fourth.Paul McCartney placed 11th as a solo artist. The Rolling Stones placed 13th.On Monday, BBC Radio 2 will countdown the 60 best selling artists since the singles chart began in 1952, also the year the Queen took the throne.The full program will be hosted by Tony Blackburn from 14:00-17:00 British Summer Time BST on Radio 2.
