Beatle’s son weds secretly

MUSICIAN Dhani Harrison has married in secret at Friar Park in Henley. 

The son of the late George Harrison became engaged to the Icelandic ex-model Sólveig Káradóttir in January. 

The two survivng Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, were guests at the ceremony along with actors Tom Hanks and Clive Owen. 

It has been reported that McCartney’s fashion designer daughter Stella created Miss Káradóttir’s wedding dress. 

Harrison snr, who died of lung cancer in 2001, bought Friar Park in 1970 and lived there with his second wife Olivia, Dhani’s mother. 


His son, who is 33, was educated at Badgemore Primary School, which backs on to the Friar Park estate, and the Dolphin School in Hurst before moving to Shiplake College. 

He is an accomplished guitar player and formed the bands thenewno2s and, more recently, Fistful of Mercy. 

Miss Káradóttir started modelling as a teenager and then became a psychologist. She is the daughter of neurologist Kári Stefánsson. The couple live in Los Angeles.
