BRITAIN’S rock royalty joined forces to prove their music really is an art form.
Sir Paul McCartney with Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood and guitar legend Eric Clapton joined artist Sir Peter Blake for his 80th birthday.
He created iconic album covers such as The Beatles’ Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
The Who’s Roger Daltrey, Bill Wyman and Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page were also at the Royal Albert Hall where an exhibition of his covers and art works is being held.
Some guests wore target badges in recognition of his use of objects like target boards in his work.
Yesterday it was revealed Sir Paul will perform the Beatles classic Hey Jude at the opening ceremony of the London Olympics.
