The Beatles - I Saw Her Standing There (live)

When I was having a drink with John one night in the Blue Angel, I asked him if he could do me a favour and give Beryl Marsden a song. He said he had just the song for her, it was called 'Love of the Loved' and she could have that. A couple of nights later we met for a drink in the downstairs bar once again and he apologised. He said that he'd mentioned it to Brian Epstein and Brian was furious. He said that he was their manager and he would decide who their songs would be given to. I've also found that Paul went to Brian and asked if he could let Rory Storm have 'I saw Her Standing There', which was inspired by Rory's sister Iris - and Brian refused him, too.
