Dhani and Sola in Vogue Magazine
Vogue Magazine includes in September an article about the marriage of Dhani Harrison & Sola Karadottir. Here’s an excerpt:
“We decided to use the music off Dhani’s father’s jukebox,” explains the Icelandic former model of walking down the aisle to Led Zeppelin’s “The Rain Song” at their intimate June ceremony. But make no mistake, this was no ordinary jukebox. Karadottir wed the musician and son of the Beatles’ late lead guitarist, George Harrison, in the garden amphitheater of Dhani’s childhood home, Friar Park in Henley on Thames Befitting a Beatles-family wedding, Karadottir wore an embroidered Stella McCartney dress. Karradottir’s bridesmaids carried peonies as they walked through a field of wild spring flowers, and the scent of crushed lavender wafted from under the guests’ feet, including those of Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. Before setting off to honeymoon in the Maldives and Seychelles, the couple took to the dance floor to a tune by another sixties rock band from across the pond: the Beach Boys’ “Don’t Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulder).”
