'This Paul McCartney guy gonna be huge!' Kanye West fans question who the 'newcomer' is after Only One collaboration

He is one of the greatest living musicians and a legend to many - and we're not talking about Kanye West.
Yet Paul McCartney's recent collaboration with the rapper for the newly released single Only One at first appears to have left some hip hop fans scratching their heads.
'Who is Paul Mcartney?, one wrote on Twitter about the Beatles rocker while another posted: 'This Paul McCartney guy gonna be huge.'
Top team: Kanye West and Paul McCartney teamed up to write Only One, Kanye's recently released single about his daughter North
Yeezy and Macca got together in early 2014 to write the love song devoted to his young daughter with Kim Kardashian, North.
The track - released on Thursday - features the veteran musician playing the keyboard while the Gold Digger star sings from the perspective of his late mother.
The pairing sparked an outpouring of Twitter sarcasm.

While most saw the funny side, some took the comments as genuine, and unforgivable, musical ignorance.

And @miss_raej said: 'People tweeting "unknown artist's career is gonna blow up" thanks to working with Kanye West. It's Paul McCartney. *screams internally*'

Kanye has yet to comment on the remarks.
But for his part, the former Beatles front man took to Twitter on Friday and said: 'For any of you guys who were wondering what I was doing with @kanyewest...Here it is: kanyewest.com Happy rocking new year!"
In an interview with Billboard magazine, Ty Dolla $ign revealed he was also involved in the collaboration and there was more to come. A single featuring himself, Macca, Kanye and Rihanna is going to 'drop soon,' he said.
