From The Archives: (I Want To) Come Home – Recording Date
Three years ago Paul headed into AIR Studios – the world renowned studios founded by legendary producer George Martin – to record the one-off digital single ‘(I Want To) Come Home’.
The track was written for the feature film ‘Everybody’s Fine’ which starred Robert De Niro, Drew Barrymore, Sam Rockwell and Kate Beckinsale and was directed by Kirk Jones.
Paul said at the time, "I can very much relate to a guy who's got older children, who happens to have lost his wife, the mother of those children, and is trying to get them all together at Christmas. I understand that."
The song went on to be nominated in the ‘Best Original Song’ category at the Golden Globe Awards as well as 'Best Song' at the Critics' Choice Awards.
