It's been just over three months since Hurricane Irma threatened to flatten holiday hotspot St. Barts.
But Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney was not put off his annual festive break on the island, after jetting in with wife Nancy Shevell, 58, and his grandchildren on Boxing Day.
Having gathered his family in the idyllic destination to ring in 2017, Sir Paul, 75, was unlike fellow celebrities who have chosen to decamp to other islands for their fix of winter sun this Christmas.

Sir Paul spent Christmas with his smitten partner Nancy after wrapping his exciting tour in Australia and New Zealand earlier this year.
The Beatles musical icon, 75, flashed a cheery thumbs up as he stepped onto the idyllic Caribbean island - a favourite among such famous families as the Kardashians, the Hiltons and the Hadids - alongside his glamorous partner Nancy, 58.
Nancy dressed perfectly for the warmer weather, donning a simple white printed T-shirt with skinny black leather trousers.
Sweeping her raven tresses off her face, the brunette beauty shielded her eyes behind a stylish pair of black round-eye frames.

In September, it was confirmed that Irma killed at least 11 people on the islands of Saint Martin and Saint Barthelemy.
Irma killed four people and injured dozens on St Maarten, the Dutch side of the island shared with St Martin.
Nearly a third of all buildings on the Dutch half of the Caribbean island were destroyed and more than 90 per cent damaged by Hurricane Irma.

Among the luxury resorts, favoured among celebrities, to have been impacted was Eden Rock Hotel on St Barthelemy.
The resort - where rooms start from £777 - is owned by the parents of MIC star Spencer Matthews and his brother, Pippa Middleton's husband James
Built in 1950, Eden Rock was the first hotel on the islands and was visited by Rothschilds, but was pictured strewn with rubble in September.
Just last year, during the festive break, St Barts was visited by notable stars including Jennifer Connelly and her husband Paul Bettany, Ashley Oslen, Olivia Palermo, Jake Gyllenhaal and Chrissy Teigen.
St Barts is known to be a favourite of Kris Jenner and her famous Kardashian brood, as well as Hilton heiresses Paris and Nicky and model Bella Hadid, the younger sister of Gigi.
This year, Barbados has been the favoured spot for all-star holidaymakers, including Mark Wahlberg, Lady Victoria Hervey and Jodie Kidd.
Other hotspots this year have included Hawaii for actress Hailee Steinfeld, as well as Paris Jackson with her two younger brothers Blanket and Prince.
The arrival of Nancy and Paul in St Barts comes after they spent Christmas together, sharing a festive Instagram clip in front of their tree.
Paul wished his 1.6 million followers a happy festive season before the couple sealed the deal with a kiss.
Clad in a casual blue sweater, Paul couldn't wipe the smile from his face as he hugged Nancy, before looking to the camera and saying: 'Happy Christmas everyone, all over the world!
