Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy Shevell were a band on the run on Friday, from a goat!

The Beatles icon is on vacation with his family in St. Barts in the Caribbean, and they decided to skip the beach and go hiking in the mountains. At one point they encountered a goat, and they were seen running away from it after they saw it, The Daily Mail reports.

Below are photos of McCartney as he escaped the goat, and you can click here  to see a photo of the goat itself.

McCartney discussed John Lennon’s greatest fear in a new 60 Minutes interview.

“I remember John was a bit insecure,” McCartney said before emotionally sharing an anecdote.

“And I remember him once particularly, strangely out-of-the-blue saying, ‘I’m worried about how people are going to remember me.’”

McCartney recalls trying to console him by saying, “‘John, listen to me, look at me. You’re going to be remembered as one of the greatest people.’ I’m getting choked up. I said… “‘Cause you are, you’re fantastic.’”

McCartney said that Lennon only ever complimented one of the songs he wrote ―“Here, There and Everywhere.”

“John says, just when it finishes, ‘That’s a really good song, lad. I love that song.’ I was like, ‘Yes, he likes it.’ You know, and I― I’ve remembered it to this day. It’s pathetic, really.”

The McCartney family have descended on St. Barts for their annual festive break away to catch the warming rays of winter sun.

And Paul McCartney, 76, closely followed his wife Nancy Shevell, 59, as they were joined by his granddaughter and Stella's daughter Bailey, 12, on Wednesday.

The musician yawned as he endured a tiring day of shopping under the blazing sunshine with his swimsuit-clad ladylove.

Nancy displayed her phenomenal age-defying figure in a navy costume, only covering up with a semi-sheer shirt-style dress.

The rocker's wife was the picture of summer as she wore a Panama hat with a striped ribbon and tan framed sunglasses to the sun at bay.

In complete holiday mode, the American beauty sauntered out into the streets in colourful sandals which were flat and perfect for exploring the picturesque area.

Aside from her husband, Nancy kept a keen eye on fashion designer Stella McCartney's daughter Bailey and she put an affectionate hand on her shoulder.

Stella, 47, is one of Paul's five children, four of whom he shares with his first late wife Linda Eastman.

Paul adopted Linda's daughter Heather, 56, and the pair then went onto have three of their own biological children: Stella, 49-year-old Mary and 41-year-old James.

The musician and dad-of-five shares his fifth child Beatrice, 15, with his second wife Heather Mills, 50.

Paul and Heather were married in 2002 and welcomed their girl the following year but they were separated by April 2006 and they were divorced in March 2008.

The Beatles icon went onto tie the knot for a third time with Nancy, whom he has been happily married to since 2011.

Every year the couple enjoy taking a trip to the glorious St.Barts over the festive season for some winter sun in the red hot Caribbean.

The Beatles icon Paul McCartney was photographed after taking his first dip of the year in the Caribbean ocean on Tuesday. McCartney, 76, was seen drying himself off and wiping his nose (it’s kind of gross, but hey, we all have to get some snot out after swimming!). You can view a couple of the photos in a tweet below via The Daily Mail.

Paul McCartney was recently interviewed by Sharyn Alfonsi of CBS News and discussed his competitiveness with John Lennon.

Sharyn Alfonsi: Were you guys competitive, writing with each other? Or did you complement each other?
Paul McCartney: Me and John? Yeah, we were competitive, yeah. Not openly, but we– we later admitted, “Yeah, you know, so Paul’s written a good one there, I better get going.” And I would similarly– “Hmm, that’s a bit good, right, here we go, come on.” If he’d have written “Strawberry Fields,” I would write “Penny Lane.” You know, and it’s– he’s remembering his old area in Liverpool, so I’ll remember mine.
Sharyn Alfonsi: And when that happened, did you compliment each other?
Paul McCartney: Once.
Sharyn Alfonsi: One time.
Paul McCartney: John gave me a compliment.
Sharyn Alfonsi: In how many years? (laughs)
Paul McCartney: It was only once, the whole time. No, I think it was “Revolver,” but it was “Here, There and Everywhere” was– was one of my songs on it.
Paul McCartney: And– but John says, just when it finishes, “That’s a really good song, lad. I love that song.” I was like, “Yes, he likes it.” You know, and I– I’ve remembered it to this day. It’s pathetic, really.
Sharyn Alfonsi: Did you ever heap praise on him?
Paul McCartney: Yeah, I would tell him his stuff was great. You’d normally have to be a little bit drunk. It helped.

Paul McCartney Releases Heavily Autotuned New Song, ‘Get Enough’ (Listen)

Paul McCartney Releases Heavily Autotuned New Song, ‘Get Enough’ (Listen)
By JEM ASWAD

Paul McCartney

Maybe Paul McCartney’s “FourFiveSeconds” session with Kanye West had more of an effect than it first seemed — McCartney has quietly dropped a new song called “Get Enough” that features some heavy autotune that actually at times recalls West’s work circa “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.”

The song, which arrives just four months after McCartney’s latest album “Egypt Station,” is a collaboration with Zach Skelton and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder and is actually quite different from the material on that album. It opens with McCartney singing a characteristic melody with a reverb-heavy vocal and piano chords that actually evoke John Lennon’s 1970 hit “Instant Karma” before the autotune kicks in and it heads into unfamiliar territory for the singer.

Then, a couple of minutes in, a new section begins that bears the hallmarks of Tedder’s work — a sweeping and stadium-sized melody with big production and the OneRepublic singer’s familiar high vocals. Otherwise, the song is largely a McCartney solo project, with him credited as playing bass, piano, acoustic guitar, harpsichord, synthesizer and synth-bass, while Tedder is credited with programming and background vocals and Skelton with editing and programming. Hear the song below.

McCartney, who has toured every year since 1999, will begin another brace of North American dates on May 23 in New Orleans, which are slated to continue into July.
