Wes Anderson has announced he's begun filming a new animated movie called Isle of Dogs. The film features an A-list cast that includes Yoko Ono, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Bryan Cranston, Tilda Swinton, and others.
In a video announcement, the director said he's shooting the film in England and lists the lengthy cast, which also includes Frances McDormand, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Greta Gerwig, Bob Balaban, F. Murray Abraham, Akira Ito, Akira Takayama, Koyu Rankin and Courtney B. Vance. It also features Edward Norton, who makes a cameo in the clip. Norton's dog character, according to Norton, is apparently "one of the lead dogs" named Rex. Anderson further clarifies that he's "an important dog in the story." The clip features a quick shot of the dog character.
Anderson also announced a fundraising contest, whose proceeds benefit film preservation and restoration non-profit organization The Film Foundation, which was founded by Martin Scorsese. The grand prize includes visiting the set and an opportunity to be one of the voices in Isle of Dogs.
Anderson recently released the Christmas-inspired short film Come Together, which serves as an advertisement for H&M's winter collection. The clip stars Adrien Brody and features John Lennon's classic "Happy Xmas (War is Over)."
