The third annual Dublin Beatles Festival opens next Friday, November 6th and runs until Sunday, November 8th, with three days of all things Beatles-inspired in celebration of the 52nd anniversary of the iconic performance of The Beatles in Dublin on 7th November 1963.
Featuring performances, quizzes, interviews an much more, including the fab-four’s secretary Freda Kelly and the Cavern Club’s The Rockits, the Dublin Beatles Festival presents a novel opportunity to get out and mingle with other die-hard fans and, sure, it’s a bit of craic isn’t it? IT’S ALMOST BEATLE-TIME IN DUBLIN

The 3rd annual Dublin Beatles Festival opens in just one week on Friday 6 November. It runs until Sunday 8 November with three days of all things Beatle-inspired in celebration of the 52nd anniversary of the iconic performances of The Beatles in Dublin on 7 November 1963, across some of the city’s best live music venues.
Highlights include:
A highly anticipated Irish appearance by Freda Kelly, long-term secretary to the band, manager of their fan club, and subject of the award-winning, funny and insightful documentary film, Good Ol’ Freda. Freda appears in public interview with Tom Dunne in the Grand Social on Strawberry Sunday, 8 November. Good Ol’ Freda will also be screened.
The Rockits, a resident group at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, perform on Sadie Saturday at the Big Gig in the Workman’s Club. The Rockits are one the finest 50s and 60s tribute bands in the UK and recommended for their residency by John Lennon’s sister Julia Baird. Known for delivering passion, fun and energy every time they perform, they are guaranteed to excite all Beatles fans and all lovers of quality live performance.
The Beatles Sessions at the Cobalt featuring top musicians from Ireland including Jonathan Ward, Vyvienne Long, Biggles Flys Again, Enda Reilly, Keith Grogan, Pearse McGloughlin and Duncan Maitland on Fab Friday in the Cobalt.
The Beatles Table Quiz at 2.15pm at the Workman’s Club on Sadie Saturday with Beatles glory and prizes up for grabs. Huge thanks to Universal Music Ireland and Beatles artist Georgina Flood for putting up such fantastic prizes.
