The Beatles promoted hooliganism in Cincinnati. They did so at their 1964 concert at Cincinnati Gardens. Don't worry though. Judge Schwartz gave them a good talking to.
From 1949 until 1954, the UC Bearcats played basketball at the Cincinnati Gardens. For the 1954-1955 season, UC moved back on campus into the Armory Fieldhouse.
The Bearcats returned to the Cincinnati Gardens from 1987 until 1989 while the University was building the Fifth Third Arena.
In between the Bearcats' two stays at the Cincinnati Gardens, the Beatles played there. For half an hour. On the night of August 27, 1964.
In the latest video from the vault, Judge Benjamin Schwartz of the Cincinnati Juvenile Court made a compelling case that the Beatles were a bunch of moppy haired troublemakers who promoted hooliganism in the fair city of Cincinnati. Thankfully, those Liverpudlian anarchists left town on a chartered flight right after their concert, headed to New York City for a two-night engagement at Forest Hills Stadium, the site of the US Open.
The Beatles returned to Cincinnati for a 1966 concert at Crosley Field, bringing tom foolery and donnybrooks back in style for one evening. Ever since then, Cincinnati has been a very peaceful, safe city. A city without any problems.
