PAUL MCCARTNEY ADDS SECOND O2 ARENA SHOW TO TOUR
Tickets sell out within an hour

Monday 9th March 2015
Following the release of tickets for a string of UK and European shows, Paul McCartney has added a second O2 Arena date to his tour, due to phenomenal demand. See dates and ticket details below.
The first London O2 Arena date - along with Paul's hometown show at Liverpool Echo Arena - sold out within an hour of going on sale this morning (9 March).
The additional London show will take place on Sunday 24 May, with other UK dates including Birmingham and Liverpool, before McCartney heads to Europe, with shows in France, Holland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. He’ll also be performing at his first European festival in five years in the form of Denmark’s Roskilde festival.
The first of two shows at the O2 Arena will be McCartney’s first gig in the UK since 2012 and coincides with the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ ‘Yesterday’. Speaking of this in a statement, McCartney said, "I’m often never aware of these anniversaries until someone points it out. People always say to me ‘Hey, did you know it was 30 years since this and 30 years since that’, so it’s impossible to stay on top of it all."
He continued, "But I never need an excuse to celebrate so it’s always nice to hear! For me it’s a happy coincidence that The O2 show falls at this time.”
